Immerse yourself!

I visited the Immersiva sim today. Built by Bryn Oh, its full of wonderful sculptures and has a store upstairs. Be warned, it has fairly costly prices, but when you see the detailing you'll not regret spending your lindens on this art. Upon landing, there are instructions for a custom Windlight setting - which is pretty cool. I often spend a good 10 minutes or so finding a good setting to really set the mood of the sim, so this is a great idea. (FYI Sometimes sims have a prefered setting in the landmark notes.)

These blocks had me stumped - when you walk through them, they move aside... hmmm... I love the Steampunk feel of Bryns creations, tho not too keen on this spider...
...and couldnt quite figure out what this was.
But I thought the 'Ferrisquito' was awesome. And huge. I think it powered the sim. (lol)
At the highest point of the sim is this huge tree...
Then I found this cool place to explore...
...but it broke when I landed. Opps.
After making it inside, I hung with this steampunkfaerything.
Then headed up to the store...

Where the sculptures are even more amazing...and pretty cool...and some are pretty sweet.Back down on the land, make sure you take the time to read the notes strewn around. Youll need your camera skills for this one folks, but its worth the hassle. I stopped to ask this chap if he was ok.
and nearly trod on his little mates. Sorry about that folks.
err.. Banana, I dont think you're meant to sit there.
and this one freaked me out a little.
So I felt it was probably time to leave.

But just as I was flying back to collect LMs, I accidentally bumped in to one of the blocks. It broke in to a million pieces! So I spent another 10 minutes searching out these big blocks and kung-fu-ing them around the place. Good times.

Happy exploring!

Looking for a companion?

The Companion is a sim set up to tell a Norwegian tale. From when you land, you are placed in a wintery landscape that makes you feel chilly and mysterious. I set my Windlight to Incongruent Truths and started my quest.

I first took a set on the nearby poseballs and clicked a red sphere. It told me where to go next, but I got a little distracted along the way.
I came upon a church, but made the mistake of standing under the eaves. Thats me on the right.
I took a bit of a swim, next to a randomly placed teapot. Very random.
And when I explored a cave, I mistakenly tipped over this structure. Opps.
I took another dip in the icey water...
And tried to ride a sled...
The snow was relentless.
and I even got in a twinkling shower. Weird...
Midway through my quest, I got thirsty. But the tap was all frozen up.
The otters (?) didnt care.
And of course, abundant photo opportunities!
Nearing the end, I bathed in milk. Whats good for cleopatra is good enough for me.
Over excited Banana nearly fell off the edge when she discovered she had nearly finished the tale...
and when she did finish, she actually did fall over the edge!
All in all, I thought it was a great place to wander around and read the tale - which is told in parts throughout the sim. Take your time, and make sure you see everything!

Happy exploring!

Its time for Summer!

Summer Seale is a store owned/created by Summer Seale, on a sim called Summer. And its a winter wonderland of faerie goodness with snow. Confused much? Warning: set your environment to default, or you'll end up with glow overload, like this pic I took below. When you land on the sim, you arrive at a mini-stonehenge, and you realise that you are in sculpty-heaven. If there is such a thing. The entire sim is set up so you can sample things before you buy, which is just fantastic. Although, not good for my pocket as there is just so much to tempt the lindens out of your pocket. I just fell in love with these lamps - L300 each. And this L500 Gingerbread house. But well worth your cash as the detailing is fantastic, and the primmage is low. Ish.There is of course great little places to explore. and the Mushroom houses dotted around the sim have little stores inside them. I found them to be a bit meh (including the very euw store that sold trousers that have camel-toe as a highlighted deliberate bonus. Srsly.), however one store did get me a little excited - and that was one called AMH. It had cool (primmy) backpacks and belts. I'm still not over that phase of my SLife.

But on to more shopping...
On this island, I found a Helyanwe circle for only L200. Way cool colors, fog effect and animated pose...
And you cant go past this Koala with two couples poses. (Sorry, didnt get the price)
And I was tempted to purchase these Egg Chairs (8 poses inside, from memory). L200 each or 3 for L500. And if you're big on Glass Cloisters, you can purchase this one for L3500.
Cause everyone needs a Glass Cloister right?
Who wouldnt want a Glass Cloister?

WTF is a Glass Cloister?
So anyway... I headed up to the big tree in the middle of the sim and stopped at this little spot along the way...
Knock, knock, anyone home? At last, the entrance to the tree...(which doubles as the freebie area. Shot!)I then spent a few minutes climbing up the inside of the tree, past the Rebel Xtravaganza outlet, and then down again. Resting along the way.

What a day! A cool sim, great store, and wonderfully creative. Just my thing.

Toodles folks and happy exploring!
